Penha Hill Rising 62.7 metres above sea level, Penha Hill is the third highest hill in Macao and faces Guia Hill on the Macao Peninsula. Penha Hill overlooks the Praia Grande and connects Barra Hill on the southwest with the inner harbour located on the western side. The Portuguese Consulate General (formerly The Bela Vista Hotel) sits lower down the eastern slope and the Bishop’s Palace sits on top of the hill. With many Mediterranean style villas constructed in this area, this is one of Macao’s more sought after residential zones. |
